Happiness is something we all strive for, but how does our culture and society affect our happiness? A lot seemingly. A study conducted by researchers at Gallup and released by Forbes surveyed thousands of respondents over 150 countries, between 2005 and 2009, in an attempt to measure our well being.
The results were quite revealing, with Scaninavian countries filling the top of the list, with researchers suggesting that while income did affect the levels of happiness, day-to-day happiness, taken from culture and societal effects makes an even greater effect on our happiness. An interesting read to say the least!
