Guinness unveil two new heritage inspired beers

Guinness has lifted the lid on two new branded beers inspired by historical recipes found in brewers diaries dating back to the 1700s and early 1800s.

Guinness Dublin Porter and Guinness West Indies Porter will be available in selected pubs and retailers from mid-September and are the first products to be launched as part of a new beer brewing project from the Dublin-based brand.

In line with the launch of the two new products there will be a print and digital campaign showcasing specially produced content which highlights the unique taste of history offered by the drinks.

Guinness Western Europe marketing director Stephen OKelly said: “As beer lovers’ tastes and the beer landscape itself evolves, it is important we continue to stay at the forefront of beer innovation. Our brewers, at the core of the project, are passionate about pushing boundaries, whilst keeping true to the Guinness quality our customers know and love.

“Guinness is only 255 years into its 9,000-year lease on the St. James’s Gate brewery in Dublin; these two new releases are the first taste of what’s to come.”
