Here at 11ElevenDC we’re not afraid of publically recognising other agencies talents or ideas so thought we would introduce you to a design company called Tribal DDB Israel. They recently launched their website entirely on the photo-sharing site Instagram. To view the website, dubbed ‘Officegram’, users had to search for the user “TribalDDB_Israel” and to navigate had to use hashtags.
Now is this just merely a publicity stunt or a concept that others could use in the future? Personally, I think it’s a touch gimmicky and can easily work against them as soon as people start to use hashtags in a far more negative context but what the heck, it’s worked up until now so now they can simply close it if they so wish. But if others are thinking about copying, think again! It’s a one time idea and people will know that it has been copied and in the creative industry will only make you out to be stale and uncreative. In summary, good attention seeking move but now you have our attention where is all the work that is going to blow us away?
