Romantica of Devon – Kim
After completing four A levels at Richard Huish college, Taunton, I decided that I had had enough of education and started to find my own feet and started working my way up the ranks. I worked in retail for a short time before looking into working abroad and heading off to France. Shortly after I saw an intriguing vacancy which would involve working with wedding dresses! I instantly applied and soon became part of the work force and have since become an integral member of the marketing department and helping to modernise the company along with the Marketing Director.
Tell us something unusual about yourself.
I can hold my breath for four minutes
If you were a biscuit, what biscuit would you be? And why?
A Jaffa Cake as it is always fun to be a bit controversial and they never get boring.
If you had to eat in one local restaurant every night for a month, where would you choose?
It would have to be Wagamama’s.
If we were to ask your work colleagues to describe you in three words, what would they say?
Geeky, energetic and fashion conscious.
What music is the Romantica office loving right now?
A real variety. Lots of different tastes in the office and so it ranges from Gary Barlow all the way to Skrillex. A bit of 80’s is always good though!
You get to design the wedding of your dreams. What wedding dress would you choose?
It would have to be something vintage. Maybe 1920’s era, backless design with a gorgeous flowing skirt.
What is your favourite thing about working for a wedding dress company?
It’s fun getting to see the whole process from start to finish and seeing all the different influences each year.
